New Pro-Tek™ Engineered Vinyl Flooring Collections Launched
Pro-Tek™, a leader in engineered vinyl flooring, has launched two new collections in the UK. Developed to meet the demands of the commercial and residential sectors, Pro-Tek™ Editions features the latest technology and offers superior performance, ease of installation and low maintenance, as well as reduced lifecycle costs and eco-benefits.
There are already four collections in the range. Excel Classic and Excel Longplank were launched in 2018 and the brand won consecutive annual Flooring Innovation awards, with its unique construction around a Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) core and superior performance. These were followed in summer 2020 with Editions Herringbone and Editions Essential – a different construction using Stone Plastic Composite as the core, offering many of the same benefits as WPC but at a reduced cost, making it ideal for larger projects.
Pro-Tek™ Editions New Collections
In November 2021, two new collections are being added to the Editions range – Editions Classic and Editions Tile.
Editions Classic is a range of 12 styles and colours of plank, 180mm x 1220mm, offering a wider alternative plus more choice to the Editions Essentials range.
Editions Tile has eight styles of 304.8mm x 600mm boards replicating the effect of a range of natural stone and tile materials such as marble, travertine and slate. With the same 100% waterproof performance as the rest of the Pro-Tek™ range, these offer a great and warmer alternative to traditional tiles often used in wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Benefits of Pro-Tek™ Engineered Vinyl Flooring
All Pro-Tek™ flooring is waterproof, phthalate-free and 100% recyclable, with a robust construction, and multiple layers. The durable commercial-grade wear resistant layer is 0.7mm thick for Excel and 0.55mm thick for Editions, with a UV anti-scratch finish.
Below the fade-resistant décor layer and luxury vinyl top layer, a highly stable and 100% waterproof core – with glueless locking system – sits above a premium IXPE foam underlay base. These combined features provide a flooring option that’s fast to install, can be laid over most existing hard floor coverings and which is compatible with ‘wet’ underfloor heating systems. Boards lock together to create a highly durable and dimensionally stable surface that also offers acoustic impact sound performance up to 24db.
As well as performance benefits, Pro-Tek™ offers considerable time–saving benefits to the flooring contractor. Minimal floor preparation and the product’s integral underlay cut installation time dramatically, whilst the construction also eliminates problems associated with ‘telegraphing’, where subfloor irregularities can distort a vinyl surface, creating gaps and an uneven appearance.
In addition, all collections, including the new ranges, have a range of matching accessories with five profiles in all colours to complete any project.
